Super Mega Bob (now with Moar LASERS!) from Jenito Games has a modest KickStarter campaign happening as you read this. Head over there and slip Super Mega Bob a few bucks.

Super Mega Bob is the brainchild of Jenito founder, Daniel Hall. Daniel fancies himself a mild-mannered car enthusiast by day and no-holds-barred programmer by night. His other projects include MicroTale, a fun browser game, and the PURE Program. PURE is an outreach program for young people.

In other news: My friend Max Spectra dropped a
Let's Play of Bastion on his YouTube channel. Go check it out >HERE<, and don't forget to catch him on the Tweets!

Any thing else? Oh, yes, Hall of Comics has opened their Blog which is being headed up by yours truly. I've been editing Alex Bonilla's comic books since book 5
and I love them. The books are all-age friendly and come from a very diverse background. Also, I'll have an update on the HoC App in the projects section pretty soon.

Until next time. Cover it with Phudg!

My good friend, Peter "The Great and Powerful" Hann, has recently put his brain child, Cyberpunk 3776, onto Indiegogo. CP3776 is a classic arcade-style shmup set in a post-apocalyptic future where Humans have virtually brought the Earth to its knees through a millennium of apathy and avarice.  To top it off, there is an alien invasion just around the corner.

I've played a build and I'm super excited about this game. I came up playing games like R-Type, Ikaruga and various others of that ilk. Cyberpunk is already a very strong game in its current build and I know that whatever Peter has up his sleeve for the final form is going to be amazing. I'm hoping for online leaderboards. ( :fingers-crossed emoji: )

Please click on the links below, vote, and show a fellow #IndieDev a little love and support.
As of typing, he's at $111 out of $4K (USD) and I know we can get him to his goal, which is a modest amount when you think that he's going it all for this one.

First off, your ears look cold. Put on some headphones!! Whatcha gonna listen to? The freshly dropped album, Unwarranted Self Importance, from my friend Ultraklystron, will definitely be on your "Top Lists" of 2014. Karl Olson has dropped the mad note with this, his 7th album.

I'll have more on the album in a forthcoming post, but for now go ahead and give it a listen. It's an amazing piece of work, especially after the magnum opus that was Animatic. Listen to it, buy it, and show the artist some Love!

In other news, I'd like to shine a light on a new text
editor you need to check out at Atom.io. Atom is a very hackable, very customizable editor from GitHub. Right now you can go >here< to ask for an invite to the beta. It is currently only available for OSX 10.8 (or better) with Windows and Linux on the horizon.

Last, but not least. Be a doll
and vote for Lumini on Steam. It's a wonderful game from some real spit-fire youngsters in the Netherlands by the name of Speelbaars. Look out for my interview with this rag-tag group in the foreseeable future. Check 'em on the Tweets til then.

Now, if you don't mind, It's back to editing interviews, playing Chainsaw Warrior and working on my vidja's!

MegaCon is coming up. It's an all-out fanatical convention in Orlando, Florida starting on March 21st and ending March 23rd. It'll have people going crazy over the likes of Stan Lee, David Morrissey, Eliza Dushku, Jon Heder, the gang from Comic Book Men. Sorry ladies (and, gents?), I won't be there this year.

In other news, my Interview with Actualogical Norse God, Julian Maroda, is just around the bend. Besides having the amazing ability to look dapper
in a typhoon, he also creates games or something with Norsfell. I wasn't paying attention.

NEXT!!

In Mobile Gaming News: Dual Survivor is the man. 10/10! Would buy it again. End of story.
Get it for your Android. It's on the iTunes Store for those of you with the ungodly talent of using an iSomethingorother.

In the game you use both thumbs (or, digits, if you're thumb-impaired. we're equal opportunists here) to steer two balls on two separate tracks from start to finish while picking up Orbs and keeping out of danger. The game really hits its stride in Zone 2 where, funnily enough, you'll want to hit yourself. Repeatedly. In frustration. Do you see where I'm going with this, Rising Step? Anyway. It'll have you wishing you could pull a 'Chameleon' and move both your eyes independently of each other. See you on the Leaderboards!

Until next time. Cover it with Phudg.

The Enlightenment Arcade Project is getting into the swing of CrowFunding to help file for Full 501(c)3 Non-Profit status. I urge all you beautiful people to help in any way. Donate, buy a shirt, send in all old electronics you've been thinking of getting rid of through our Contacts page. Everything we do will Help 1 school in a Developed Country hand-in-hand with a school in a non-developed country.  Side Note: Every person who has wanted to purchase a shirt from abroad has told me the shipping through CafePress is ridiculous. I have added a Local Pickup option to choose upon check out. Just add it with your Shirt Quantity and Sizes and I will personally get them to you.

In other News, my good friend Alex Probst has started his KickStarter Campaign for his game Colorino. It's a beautiful piece of puzzle gaming art.

New Year, New...You?

Yo, yo! We're into the New Year and things be looking good, ya'll. I put some concept art in my Atoma: WarMongers section. I have tons of material I'll be adding to the site soon. Oh, damn my procrastination!

In other news from around the Scene:

Speelbaars'
amazing game, Lumini, has been thrust upon the Steam Greenlight Paradigm. Go, my friends. Go now and vote 'Yes' to have this beautiful creation "Greenlit". This project needs more exposure. And not the " my creepy uncle" kind of exposure, either. Also, I'll be posting my Interview with Steven Honders and the rest of the Speelbaars crew in the coming weeks.

The incomparable David Olofson has released a new-ish (sort-of?) project
on Github by the name of ZeeDraw. The key point of ZeeDraw: Avoiding script code that pushes every single vertex every frame, but without going all the way to a traditional native game engine, where the rendering code is hardwired. Fully scriptable rendering without the full performance impact, basically. This is going to replace the OpenGL code in the scripts in Kobo II, allowing support for GLES, Direct3D or whatever without messing with all the script code. Also, performance! And, as per the usual, stay tuned for my Interview with The Dave.

There is an update to CatBanana Studios' Imagine Nations
timeline for the first half of 2014. Several Tech Demos will be released each month from January until July. The demos will include, but are not limited to: Audio, Terrain, AI, Culture, Missions, Combat, and Magic. Yes, I said Magic! Michael Hahn (#CMGR) has answers you didn't know you wanted to the questions you didn't know you were asking. He's got the 411 on Imagine Nations. Do the young people nowadays still say "the 411"?

Until next time. Cover it with Phudg.

Hai Ev'rbody! Hope all you cool cats had a great Holiday 2013. 2014 is just around the corner and I invite you to write down your New Years resolutions in the comments section. If you do, I'll be forced to monitor your progress. I'll post mine first.  :) *winkyface

    Update: Soha's Twinethology Project is in full swing (I'm a little behind). Here is a list of some of the Talents that will be featured in the project. @KSheely, @AshtonRaze, @Asatiir, @KaitTremblay, @CGSaw, @HanFreakinSolo, @LightNarcissus, @CallahanPorter, @KalleMacd, @httpoet, @linedrag, @SaganYee, @M_Kopas, @Veeren_Jubbal, @LoudMouthJulia, @RobotParking, @notquitereal, @Peachi, @omglazerkittens, @Rokashi, @LanatheGun101, @Gendeerling, @Edcrab_, and, finally, @i_Phudg. I'm really looking forward to seeing the completion of this project.

In other news, my friend Karl Olsen
, a.k.a. Ultraklystron, is creating some sick licks for his new album Unwarranted Self Importance (working title). Please, head over to his bandcamp and purchase some music. We all need to do our part to keep this awesome Indie Ball rollin'. I'll have an Interview up featuring Karl in the coming days.

In Interview news, I have a lot of content that I am very proud of and will soon be sharing that content with several Websites. I would love nothing more to get Little Indie out to bigger Audiences. All for one, and One for All.

Until next time.

Thanks to @RogueNoodle for posting a Vine of @UndergroundPixl's Ludum Dare project. Needs more Holiday Cheer. #HappyHolidaysEverybody

Hey gang! If you haven't heard by now, the rumors of my demise have been mildly exaggerated. Anyway, I've started the first draft of a Twine Project for an acquaintance of mine. I'm sure a lot of you fine people (equality first!) know her as "Not Princess Jasmine". I am, of course, speaking of the exquisitely talented and beautifully exquisite, Soha El-Sabaawi!

Her group project, 'Twinethology: Volume 1 (Destruction)', has some amazing talent linked to it. You have the likes of Elliot
"Lover of the Interactive" Pines, Lana "Sexy as a Gun" Polansky, Jack "The Storyteller" de Quidt, Patrick "Pixels or Death" Lindsey, and my friend, Kent "the Human Art Monster" Sheely, who (whom?) is already indebted to the muses for some of his great works. I'm getting excited just thinking about it. There is a deadline of February 10th, 2014, so if any of you cool cats wanna email Soha and ask her if she has the space, please do. I love a happy ending, and destruction.

In other news, I'm trying to gather the resources to write full time. I have so many projects going on and not enough eyes to look upon them with growing disdain!! I love writing and game creation, but I just don't have the funds to devote ever waking second on it like it deserves of me. If anyone has any nifty suggestions please feel free to drop me a line. Remember: I'm acutely Narcissistic so you'll have to preface the comment with something positive about my writing and/or my butt.

Finally, please visit some of my friend's Websites and check out what they've got cookin'.

Eric Kinkead
, the man, the myth, The Legend!

Eli Galindo, the Man with the Retro Hand.
Mckee Frazior
, Mr. Revisionist Theorist.
Shaun Williams, to Legion, with Love!

Hey Gang! Looks like everyone is here. Start the show. Uh. Well, the video isn't loading. Anyway, I'm adding a Vlog to my site for the hell of it. So people can join in the pains of my Devness.

I'm kicking it into over-drive over here. I've completed ten plus Interviews and a few solid Reviews. I've been going back over them to get the best information out as sensibly as possible. I'm worried that if I start adding them to the different sections the individuals will get lost in the push-down shuffle.

Finally, I've been adding to the projects pages. I've got a bunch of jpg's and a few avi's uploading as I type. So, I need to get back to my Story Board Scripts and Game Design.

Til next time. Cover it with Phudg.

Where art thou, Google Fiber

I've got a few updates I want to get down before I start this new week. The first item is our newest Associate and Friend. Bill Trible is an amazingly multi-talented man from London, UK. He's currently at work on our Atoma: WarMongers Game and Branding. I'm gonna have some sick assets and backdrops to post in the projects very soon.

We also have the very talented Kelly Miller working on downloadable media, such as Wallpapers. You can get our Company Logo for free here, and be the envy of your friends and co-workers.

We're gonna set up a separate page for the fun we shall have. There will be posts on other Indie Developer Games
videos of Alpha and Beta plays. If any person would like to post on there, send me a line and I'll give you the link. I'm always looking for help in Social Media.

And, lastly, we have set up a
Twitch.TV feed. We got a few applications for Live Streaming, but we're having connection issues. It'd be nice if we have Google Fiber in Houston, but let's not hold out breath for now. We'll have Streams off-and-on irregularly until we have everything sorted out. Until then, follow @I_Phudg for any updates.

So, we are looking forward to a few things here at Phudg. We are partnering up with a few people. The first is a gentleman who is a Father and a Programmer, Jim Stubblefield. We are looking forward to collaborating on some Children's Apps.

We are also very excited to be collaborating with Jameson Quave from JQ Software. We are Designing the Script for JQ's next video game. We have someone update the site to show off some of the cool new stuff.

New recruit, Michael Beecham, sent over some concept renderings for the Atoma Cards. They are looking slick. Check them out in the Atoma Updates section.

Also, I just sent in the first
treatment of a story I'm pushing. So far, I'm writing the story as a gentleman in Austin, TX creates his game. He is in alpha and wants to get something out there to be seen and heard. I'm looking forward to that.

I got the the final of the PHUDG logo from Sanjay Purswani earlier day and I like the look. It's in the home stretch as far as color and animation (below).

I've started sketching the card characters for the Card/Fighting game which will ultimately be my first finished game. I'm going to look into getting someone to help me render them faster. I'm currently working in GameMaker Pro (I'd like Master), but I think I want to try to move to Unity3D after this first game. We'll see what happens.

So, Sanjay Purswani sent me a rendering of a logo he's working on for PHUDG Interactive. It's still a work in progress, but I think it already looks great.

Check out Sanjay's Website and then go over to his YouTube channel.

As always, head over to the PHUDG Interactive Facebook page and Like us. Then you can follow us on Twitter.
